A sensuous and captivating single malt. With no less than 10 years spent in ex-bourbon casks, this whisky then spends a little more time in hand-picked ex-Sauterns barriques.

Almost throwing one into sensory overload, the nose & palate are ridiculously complex. Dig deep into the aromas and you will find scents of fresh baked sweet pastries, sultanas, dates, coconut, gingerbread cookies and orange zest. The taste is just as opulent. Lemon-cream, warming ginger and nutmeg, toasted almond, creme caramel and zesty lime can all be found if you take the time to savor each mouthfull.

Sumptuous and warming, the Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or has spent ten years in American white oak casks before spending its final two years in Sauternes casks from France.

TOP 100 SPIRITS OF 2017 - This 12-year-old single malt was finished in casks that previously held Sauternes, the golden sweet wine of Bordeaux. Smooth and elegant, look for a honey hue and notes of vanilla and lemon cream on the palate, finishing with baking spice and a puff of smoke. Adding water unleashes more creamy vanilla and citrus.
