Hails from one of the few remaining lowlands distilleries. Light and delicate; it's a perfect aperitif.

Light gold in color with elevated aromatics. Cut flowers, vanilla and notes of toast that transform into redolent aromas of fresh citrus and lemon cheesecake. Yum! A sweet start in the mouth becomes crisp and flowery--but rounds out with buttercream mid-palate. A bit drying on the finish, reminiscent of potpourri--but the dryness is refreshing after the predominate sweetness fades.

The Glenkinchie distillery was founded in 1837, and today is one of a handful of remaining Lowland producers. Their 12 year old malt is lightly aromatic, with notes of fresh flowers, lemon, barley, grass and smoke. The palate is crisp but ever so slightly sweet, with flavors of fresh fruits, cut herbs, spicy peat, and a touch of beautifully balanced oak.
